|Reaching Out to Sandy Hook|
Eight of the 12 girls who we lost on Friday, December 14 were Girl Scout Daisies and two boys were sons of Girl Scout families. Girl Scouts across the country who wish to reach out to those affected by the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut are welcome to participate in either memorial below.
Trefoils for Sandy Hook
Girl Scouts may reach out to the victims' families and Girl Scout survivors through the Connecticut Trefoil Project. First, get a piece of paper shaped as a trefoil. (Download a pattern here.) Next, write your thoughts, prayers, poems or words of encouragement on the trefoil. Mail to:
Girl Scouts of Connecticut Office
340 Washington Street
Hartford, CT 06106
Your trefoil will be presented at a Girl Scout memorial service in mid-January.
Snowflakes for Sandy Hook
Please help the students of Sandy Hook have a winter wonderland at their new school. Get creative -- no two snowflakes are alike. Make and send snowflakes -- by January 12 -- to:
60 Connolly Parkway, Building 12, Suite 103

|Your Feedback Wanted|
Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas is currently conducting a survey to obtain feedback related to programs and properties. Your feedback is vital to the development of GSSWT's Long Range Property Plan (LRPP).
The LRPP committee is made up of volunteers and local members of the community who are committed to identifying program and property needs. We ask that you please take a few minutes of your time and complete the multiple choice survey (takes approximately 10 minutes). This is an ideal opportunity for your voice to be heard regarding programs and properties. The survey will be active through the end of December.
