Hurricane Sandy: How you can help | |
Girl Scout sisters from around the country are asking how to help the eight Girl Scout councils affected by Hurricane Sandy. Although material donations and troop offers of assistance are appreciated, the councils are not currently in a position to process and organize them.
How can you help? While Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) does not allow fundraising for outside organizations, contributions may be directed to a specific council or councils through their online giving sites. To give, please visit donate.girlscouts.org/hurricanerecovery, where you will find links to the online giving sites for all eight councils, as well as the giving form for GSUSA's Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund.
Thank you for your support of our sister Girl Scouts during this difficult time.

Wurzbach Parkway Progress |
|
Keep an eye out for heavy equipment transportation in our area as construction on the Wurzbach Parkway extension continues to progress.
North-bound frontage road of US Hwy 281 between Country Parkway and Heimer Road
postponed until January
All lanes of the north-bound frontage road will close while crews build a large drain structure under the roadway. Drivers will use Country Parkway and Heimer Road to reach Bitters Road. Drivers seeking to access north-bound US Hwy 281 will have uninhibited access to the entrance ramp from Nakoma. Expect long delays. This closure has been pushed back to January due to utility conflicts.
Construction on Wurzbach Parkway is scheduled for completion in 2015.
