What's Happening!
Thank you letter from Mo. Paula
'Get Connected Sunday' & Ministry Fair
This Sunday, September 18 - after 10am worship
We will be kicking off our new program year with a brand new event, including a ministry fair, blessing of the new Nursery, Sunday School and Youth Space, and of course, no St Francis event is complete without plenty of food and fun!
And for the kids - bounce house, cotton candy, balloon lady -
they will not want you to miss this!
Win a Painting by Mo. Paula!
Raffle - tickets are limited - don't miss out!
Mother Paula has painted another one of her masterpieces for our St. Francis Art and Wine night.  It is entitled "Time for Grapes."  She has graciously donated the painting to be used in a raffle.  The tickets are one for $20 or three for $50.  There will only be 100 tickets sold.  Consider buying a ticket (or three!).  Tickets will be sold after both services, and the night of the event.  You will be helping to raise funds for the church, and you might just be the lucky winner.  The drawing will take place on the night of the event.
You don't have to be present to win.  Good luck and have fun!
Bring your pocket-book to church this Sunday and grab your tickets before they go!

"Episcopal 102"
Sunday September 25 after both services
(9:15 am, 11:30 am), Board Room
Please join Mo. Paula and Rev. Peter as we seek to understand together what it means to worship as Episcopalians. We will explore the "back of the book," the part of our Book of Common Prayer that contains the Catechism and the historical documents. Bring your coffee and snacks from Coffee Hour, your questions and your inquiring minds! We will explore together how to use our Prayer Book to deepen in our faith.
Children and Family Eucharist
Sunday, September 25, 10:00am
On September 25 at the 10:00 service we will welcome families and children (1st grade and up) to be in the service the entire hour. The service will include simplified language and catchy songs that may enable all of us to participate on a different level. We also hope to have youth help with the gospel reading. Come check it out!
Save The Dates

artwineArt and Wine-Save the Date! Art and Wine October 8 - 6-9pm
Saturday, October 8 from 6:00-9:00pm
Back by popular demand! Put the date on the calendar and invite a friend or three. The more the merrier! There will be delicious food, festive music, art, wine, beer, plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, and fellowship. This is a fundraiser for St. Francis. Besides bringing guests, let us know if you would like to help in anyway. We could always use fun and exciting silent auction items. This year we will also be having a mystery wine grab. We could use lots of donated wine (or money to buy), bottles from $10 and up. For questions or to help, please email Jennifer and Alex Sams or call 310-375-2962.
