What's Happening!
All Hands on Deck! hold each others' hands
After the 10 o'clock service on August 28, the Sunday School/Youth and Nursery program will need help moving furniture and shelves off of the stage and onto the Parish Hall floor to make room for the new walls to be installed the following week!  Please help!
Sad News - Russ Peck
I am sorry to say that we have had a death in our church family. After a successful heart procedure, Russ Peck, a beloved member of our choir and one of the youth group leaders, died suddenly Wednesday morning from heart failure. May the family and friends of Russ, our youth group and choir of which he was so much a part, be strengthened and comforted with this sudden loss of one so dear, generous of spirit, a man of love and joy.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in God's eternal love and life. Amen.
Faithfully, Paula+

Construction on the stage for the new space for children and youth begins Monday, August 29, and continues through the week. For your safety, PLEASE do not enter the parish hall by any direction because of the equipment being used and size of the new walls being installed.

Art and Wine-Save the Date!
Saturday, October 8 from 6:00-9:00pm
Back by popular demand! Put the date on the calendar and invite a friend or three. The more the merrier! There will be delicious food, festive music, art, wine, beer, plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, and fellowship. This is a fundraiser for St. Francis. Besides bringing guests, let us know if you would like to help in anyway. We could always use fun and exciting silent auction items. This year we will also be having a mystery wine grab. We could use lots of donated wine (or money to buy), bottles from $10 and up. For questions or to help, please email Jennifer and Alex Sams or call 310-375-2962.
