"Dinner & A Movie" Night - to be rescheduled
Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold Dinner and Movie this Saturday night.
Watch this space for news of a possible new date later in the year! 
A Chorus Line - This Sunday July 31 at 7:30pm! 
It's too late for group tickets - but It's not too late to join our St. Francis Group Trip to the Hollywood Bowl to picnic with Mother Paula and see " A Chorus Line" (her favorite musical). No Audition Required!
Transportation: Torrance (Wilson Park) Park n Ride $12 roundtrip (Standby). Bus times 5:10 p.m., 5:20 p.m., 5:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m., 6:15 p.m. 6:30 p.m.; or drive and park at the Bowl.   Our group seats are in the first two rows of Section R1 - $26 a ticket. Sunday School - July through September 4 (Labor Day) 
Playground Ministry: (ages 3 approx.-11) meet at the front of the parish hall by 9:55am, Children will have a short outing on the Town & Country playground before returning to their families in the service in time for Communion.
Mo. Paula Vacation 
July 11 through July 30.
For pastoral emergencies during this time, please call The Rev. Peter Huang on his cell phone, 626  375 5483.  Peter+ lives in Pasadena and if he cannot respond to the pastoral situation he will call The Rev. Clean out all of the excess stuff that's cluttering your home, and help others at the same time! The Rummage Sale is one of our biggest fund raisers; proceeds from past sales have helped us do things like roof repair and gutter replacement.

We can help unload your car Mon. thru Fri. From 9am until 1pm.

Snap up great items at bargain prices. Leftovers help those in greater need, including St. Luke's, Mama Hills and Habitat for Humanity. St Anne's Guild Book Sale - Fri Aug 19 And Sat Aug 20
Bring your books, CDs and DVDs starting now! Donations can be dropped off until Thurs Aug 18. Benefits from the rummage sale go to a special student book fund. Donated books, CDs and DVDs can now be brought to the Parish Hall and placed in (or by) the Ladies' Restroom near the front door of the Parish Hall. ** No encyclopedia sets please **
"How To Be A Crazy Christian" With Presiding Bishop Michael Curry
Sunday August 14, after Both Services - Board Room  Are you looking to be encouraged in your journey of faith? Please join us for this video class with our Presiding Bishop. Bishop Curry, an inspiring and gifted speaker, has a heart for reawakening believers to the tremendous gift and challenge of giving our all to follow Jesus. His term for this kind of person is a Crazy Christian. Rev. Peter will facilitate this class that utilizes our St. Francis Online Academy curriculum.

Habitat For Humanity - 15 volunteers needed and/or donate a brick!
Having fun helping others
Saturday, August 27, 8:00am to 3:30pm  
Once again, God is in need of good carpenters. No experience necessary to take part. Breakfast and lunch included. To donate (our pledge is $1500 towards the cost of the build), donate a brick for $50, which will carry your name, and form part of a decorative wall for the family whose home we will be helping to build. Make your check to "St. Francis Church" with Habitat for Humanity in the memo section.

Art and Wine-Save the Date!
Saturday, October 8 from 6:00-9:00pm
Back by popular demand! Put the date on the calendar and invite a friend or three. The more the merrier! There will be delicious food, festive music, art, wine, beer, plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, and fellowship. This is a fundraiser for St. Francis. Besides bringing guests, let us know if you would like to help in anyway. We could always use fun and exciting silent auction items. This year we will also be having a mystery wine grab.
