Did You Know?
On Sunday, November 8, there was a packing party here at St. Francis for Military Outreach! It was a fun gathering, complete with pizza, Chinese chicken salad and cookies. We are so grateful to those who donated postage money, brought items, and especially to those who helped us pack 55 boxes (!) for our Military troops away from home at Christmas. That Sunday was such a joyous day! Please remember to pray for the troops to whom we sent these boxes, as well as our Military serving all over the US and the World.

Wednesday Dec 2, 10am To 2pm, Chapel
Please join us with starting Advent with a Quiet Day of reflection in this season of anticipating Christmas. The Rev. Elizabeth Rechter, Episcopal priest and Director of Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Direction, will lead our Quiet Day. We will begin at 10AM, celebrate Eucharist together, and end with lunch. Come with an open spirit to meet God in the stillness of this day and together explore this year's theme "Mary's 'Yes!'". Bring also a bag lunch. This event is sponsored by ECW for women and men of our parish and their friends. Please contact the Rev. Peter Huang if you have any questions.

Wednesday Dec 9, 6pm, chapel
Please join us for a service for grieving, praying and healing as we together acknowledge the "blue" feelings that can come at Christmas time. Let us together offer our difficult experiences to God, and find hope and comfort in knowing that we are not alone and that God shares in our sadness and loss. The Rev. Peter Huang will lead this Liturgy of the Word that will include music and time for prayer and reflection. A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow the service. Childcare will be provided.
