Coming Up!

Music
Step Up to Jazz!
New! Jazz Vespers 2nd Sunday of the month at 4pm,
starting Monday October 11.
Plus...  we are starting a Jazz Concert Series!
September 26
, at 7pm
The Frank Patenza Organ Trio will perform in the church.
A reception will follow the concert.
We are getting ready to embark on a new adventure--adding Jazz Vespers to our mix of worship opportunities. At this time we plan to offer a Jazz Vespers Service on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 4:00, beginning on October 11.
In addition to the monthly services we will have periodic jazz concerts--partly for just plain enjoyment and partly to raise money to support the Jazz Vesper Services.

Each of these events needs some people to support it. There is typically some set-up, sometimes a reception, ushers, and clean up involved. We would like to form a team of folks who are willing to help. If we get enough people we can all take turns and not wear anyone out! If you'd be interested in helping support the Jazz Ministry at St Francis, please respond to Jeannie Cobb. This ministry will be not only rewarding, but fun!  To volunteer or ask questions, contact Jeannie Cobb or leave a phone message 310 375-4617 ext 228.

or via the church office on 310-375 4617.

You are not interrupting our work -

you ARE our work!

Or just come to any or all of our services, and take a moment to sit quietly, light a candle in memory, or to symbolize your feeling, and let God be God - in you - for a few small, still moments. With blessings and prayers for comfort and love.

Clergy Transition Process

The St. Francis Vestry is very pleased to announce that Bishop Bruno has named Mother Paula as our Priest in Charge Under Special Circumstances (PIC-USC) effective April 1st! This decision initiates a formal mutual discernment period of 12 months to call Mother Paula as our Rector. As always, feel free to contact our Senior Warden Fabrizio, or any Vestry member if you have any questions regarding the Rector transition process. Any Vestry member can be contacted via the church office at 310-375-4617. You can also email Fabrizio directly.
