What's Happening!

This Saturday - Cow Bop!
7pm - jazz vespers fund raiser
Thank you Sunday
- this means you!
We want to thank every single parishioner who has volunteered in any way in the ministries, events and fundraisers of our parish!!! Besides thanking our terrific Sunday School teachers, Youth Leaders, choir members and worship servers, we want everyone in our parish to feel appreciated for all of the time, talents and treasure shared. We want to thank everyone who might not be seen when they serve such as the Altar Guild, Friars, Vestry, Ministry Council, our office volunteers and those organizing our fundraisers and all the fellowship events. Thank you for your generous support in all the roles that make St Francis Parish a welcoming and warm place to be. If you cannot attend church this Sunday please receive our gratitude as you read this! May God bless each of you with the grace of knowing how much you are appreciated for being YOU and all you do!
With grateful love, Mo. Paula+
Find Out About EfM
This Sunday - after both worship services
Meet some of the current group, plus our co-mentors, Susie Zimmerman and Wayne Hastings. Ask questions, and see if EfM might be for you, starting this September. EfM is a 4-year, seminar-based course, which aims to help you discover and use your gifts in the places where you live and work. The course covers Christian tradition and history, biblical exegesis and interpretation, theology, ethics, worship, spirituality, and interfaith issues. The material is also studied in the light of your real-life experiences. Our theme for 2015-2016 will be "Living as Spiritually Mature Christians". For more information click here...
or contact Susie or Wayne directly.

Mo. Paula - Readings for June 7th - 2nd Sunday of Pentecost

Need a prayer, or to talk with the clergy?

Contact Mo. Paula
or via the church office on 310-375 4617.

You are not interrupting our work -

you ARE our work!

Or just come to any or all of our services, and take a moment to sit quietly, light a candle in memory, or to symbolize your feeling, and let God be God - in you - for a few small, still moments. With blessings and prayers for comfort and love.

Clergy Transition Process

The St. Francis Vestry is very pleased to announce that Bishop Bruno has named Mother Paula as our Priest in Charge Under Special Circumstances (PIC-USC) effective April 1st! This decision initiates a formal mutual discernment period of 12 months to call Mother Paula as our Rector. As always, feel free to contact our Senior Warden Fabrizio, or any Vestry member if you have any questions regarding the Rector transition process. Any Vestry member can be contacted via the church office at 310-375-4617. You can also email Fabrizio directly.
