Compline - 8:15pm.

Come and add to our parish conversation related to our transition and discernment as a parish.

Schedule:
  • Presentation on scripture reading
  • Small group discussions: How does the reading impact my faith?
  • How does that discernment relate to our parish?

A beginning step for the gathering of parishioner input -

  • not just for the clergy leadership choice that lies ahead
  • but also - and vitally - for the practical and spiritual decisions about who we wish to be as God's people in this parish moving into the future.

We look forward to listening to one another's thoughts as the Spirit leads us in this coming year. Please read the Senior Warden's update on the transition process (see below and in the March Bellringer, and please know that he and all members of the Vestry truly welcome your comments, thoughts and questions on any part of this process.  You can email him directly Fabrizio Pelá, or any Vestry member via the church office on 310 375-4617. All our Vestry members are listed on our website under 'About Us/Meet our Vestry'.

Calling all EGG-cellent Youth!

Remember all the Easter Egg Hunts after church? Now it is your turn to serve the little kids at St. Francis! We need your help to "hide" the eggs on the grass and playground on Easter at the beginning of the 10 o'clock service. If you are in middle or high school, please meet by the lower parking lot stairs on April 5 by 10:10! Thank you!
Special Music for Lent and Holy Week
Look out for the Yellow Envelopes!
At this special time of the year our hearts will be stirred by the special music that will lead us in worship. Whether at the Lenten Evensong on March 15, beautiful anthems during Holy Week, or brass on Easter morning we know many powerful moments are being planned. These "above and beyond" efforts require resources that are above and beyond our normal Music Budget. If you would like to help share these costs, please use the yellow Music and Arts envelopes that are in the pew racks.
Thank you for your generosity!

Explore the Power of the Labyrinth
All are invited to a Lenten Quiet Day sponsored by the ECW.
A Lenten Pilgrimage: Encountering Transition, Inviting Transformation
March 27, 2015 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 Parish Hall
led by Linda Schultz, PhD., a spiritual director, educator, labyrinth facilitator, and Capacitar facilitator.
In this Lenten quiet day, we will introduce the labyrinth as a walking meditation.
The labyrinth is an ancient tool of sacred technology and is found in various forms in almost all cultures and religious traditions. It is a place to bring our lives - our joys, longings, sorrows, pain, struggles, questions, decisions, - all of life - a place to listen and discover the voice of God deep within calling us to growth, insight, healing, creativity, and fullness of life.
Light refreshments will be provided. Bring a bag lunch if you would like to stay after and continue to enjoy fellowship.
