Mama Hill Gift Tree St Francis Church - Mama Hill's Help Christmas Party

Please - your gifts MUST be received no later than Noon on Friday, December 5th

The Mama Hill's Christmas Tree with tags for the "Cookies" (the children)  is up in the Parish Hall, so select one or two or more and bring your wrapped packages to church no later than Noon on Friday, December 5. Please do not wait until the 6th or 7th to bring your gift/s.  When you take your tag(s), be sure to write your contact information on the tag number line provided next to the tree.

This is most important so that we know that each child has at least one gift.
And thank you!

See below for the fun, new event at which these gifts will be distributed!

First Ever Restaurant Fundraiser Thank You!
Thanks to everyone who attended the Hof's Hut fundraiser for the St. Francis Outreach Scholarship Fund. I hope that you were able to meet our recipient, Jackeline, she was very busy that night cashiering, filling bakery and take out orders, answering the phone and sometimes being a hostess. I've included a photo of her from the end of the evening. We had a fabulous turnout, and everyone had a very convival time and hope everyone enjoyed their dinners! It was very special that some of our regular Tuesday night church groups decided to spend their evening at Hof's Hut. One couple even celebrated their anniversary! Thanks to all. The proceeds of the evening will come through the corporate office so $$ earned will come in a future Bellringer.

Advent Quiet Day - 'Surprised by God'
Tues December 2nd, 9:30 -12:00, Boardroom and Chapel.

Led by the Very Rev. Paula Vukmanic

Too many of us have domesticated God. We have lost the ability to be amazed at God's glory and power.  We want God to answer our prayers immediately or lead us with clear certainty.  And God does come but often in ways we least expect.  We need to recapture a true sense of wonder at God's power and character, that God might again surprise us by coming to us in Jesus, Emmanuel, God-with-us, the promise of Advent waiting.

The morning will include presentations, quiet time and prayerful sharing.  Bring a bag lunch for fellowship afterwards.  Sponsored by the ECW for women and men of our parish and their friends.

Exploring The Book Of Common Prayer
Session 2 - Sunday Dec 7 at 11:45 am.
Library
. Bring $5 for sandwich lunch
Led by The Very Rev. Paula Vukmanic
These two sessions will uncover the fascinating history of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP), from the vision of Henry the 8th in the 16th century to the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. We will look at the amazing contents of the BCP and how it frames our public and private worship and prayer. The Book of Common Prayer is in every pew of the chapel and church and is the framework of our Episcopal identity. Let's look at what is inside and unpack its impact on us!
