Coffee, mimosas, and more!
This Sunday, Nov 9 after each Sunday service
Join your fellow parishioners for a special treat on Sunday, Nov. 9 after each service -- mimosas and extra-special goodies to eat -- and allow our St. Francis Generosity Team to help us celebrate with gratitude a wonderful 2014 in which we've touched so many lives in so many different ways through the power of love. We will also take a look ahead with enthusiasm to all that God is calling us to be about in the year ahead. This will be a 30 minute presentation. Child care will be provided.
Pledge Cards - please remember to return your cards by November 16th.
Can't find yours? Have questions? Please contact Mo. Sarah or Elaine Mistele in the church office. Pledge cards are also available in the Narthex of the main church.
Giving and receiving
Generous God, Generous People
In Dick's words - this church is our platform for what we do here, and for raising our children in our faith - and we ourselves are this church. We are responsible for taking care of it. If we don't do it, no-one else is going to do it for us.

Exploring The Book Of Common Prayer
Sundays Nov 16 and Dec 7 at 11:45 am.
Library
. Bring $5 for sandwich lunch
Led by The Very Rev. Paula Vukmanic
These two sessions will uncover the fascinating history of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP), from the vision of Henry the 8th in the 16th century to the 1978 Book of Common Prayer. We will look at the amazing contents of the BCP and how it frames our public and private worship and prayer. The Book of Common Prayer is in every pew of the chapel and church and is the framework of our Episcopal identity. Let's look at what is inside and unpack its impact on us!

First Ever Restaurant Fundraiser
Tuesday November 18th-4pm to closing
Please join the St. Francis Outreach Scholarship Fund at their Torrance  Hof's Hut restaurant, fundraiser. All you need to do is take the flyer to the restaurant on that date and 15% of your bill will be donated to the scholarship fund.
One of our new recipients in 2014, Jackeline Hernandez, has worked at Hof's Hut for several years and will be working there that night. Jackeline is a freshman at El Camino. She lost her mother to breast cancer as a young girl and due to this, has been inspired to be in the healthcare field-hopefully as a nurse.
Invite friends and neighbors to attend, just make copies of the flyer to give them. The only requirement from the restaurant is that flyers not be distributed in their parking lot the night of the event.
