Adoption Day has Finally Arrived!
Sam becomes an official and FOREVER part of the Phelps Family this Monday, August 25 at 8:45 am!

Or, just come to church at 10 am on Sunday, Aug 31 for the Blessing of our Adoption, and join us for cake and little party afterward to celebrate this moment of joy! The reception will be hosted by the Phelps Family and Sam's godmother (Mo. Paula!). No gifts please!

Summer Breakfasts
Only 2 more chances to enjoy - 9am - 10am
Breakfast in the parish hall at 9 am each Sunday through August, hosted by your Vestry Members and Ministry Council Shepherds.  Donations gladly received, but not expected.
Next Taizé Service Of Healing And Wholeness Taize candles
Next Tuesday, August 26th, 7 Pm
Join us again for our Taizé service of healing. This
Taizé service, filled with music and candlelight, also provides the option for intercessory prayer with a Prayer team leader. We pray that the time will be a healing comfort for whatever you face or hold in your heart.
Kids In Church
Sunday school is on summer break - re-starts next Sunday, August 31st.
Registration forms for 2014/15 are on our website under Families and Kids.
In the meantime we sincerely love to see (and hear!) you and your kids in church. Please ask an usher for a copy of the 'Sunday Papers' as a worship aid for your child(ren). Come to summer breakfast first, and save yourself some work!
Nursery care is still available in the library for children aged 3 and under. For more information, please contact Kate Buchen, Minister for Children and Families.
Mo. Sarah Avon Walk for Breast Cancer -

Coming Up! 

Altar Guild Salad and Dessert Meeting
Wed. September 3 at 6 p.m. The Altar Guild welcomes everyone to our first meeting after our summer break. Members will bring a salad or dessert and a beverage to share. This is a good opportunity for any Church member who might be interested in this ministry to join us on the 3rd, we look forward to having you join our guild. Our meeting will follow at 7. Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Interfaith Relations in Los Angeles

Dawn Unity is sponsoring a talk on "Interfaith Relations in Los Angeles" by Fr. Alexei Smith Director of Ecumenical and Religious Affairs for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles who has been at the center of that world for 14 years.
