Teens And Gentlemen:

If you saw a 70 and an 80 year old woman carrying furniture and boxes would you stop to help them? Well now is your chance! Ruth and Gloria have been carrying furniture and boxes of rummage to their garages for the St. Francis Rummage Sale. They could really use some help delivering these things to the Parish Hall. We will work on your schedule. Can you give us two (2) or three (3) hours of your time any day or evening especially between August 5th and August 10th. A truck and driver would be most welcome, but we can carry it all in our van or station wagon taking many trips. Please call Gloria to offer your help - 310-375-8916.

Ladies we will be sorting and pricing starting August 6th - Our hours will be Monday - Thursday from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM.

Thank you, Gloria and Ruth

New Scholarship Recipients - can you help them?
The St. Francis Outreach Scholarship Fund has two new recipients who have a number of basic needs, including a possible ride-share to avoid a 2 and a half hour commute each way to school (!), and also household furniture and items.
Click here to see exactly how you can help them. Thank you.
Mo. Sarah Avon Walk for Breast Cancer -
Thank You to All!
Your generosity means I have met my fundraising goal for participating in the 39.3 mile Avon walk on Sep. 6 & 7. There's still time to donate right up until I do the walk, and all donations are welcome because the money raised all goes for breast cancer research and services

It's fast and easy to make a tax-deductible donation.

Simply CLICK HERE to access my fundraising page, then click "Donate Now."

Thank you, Mo. Sarah+

St. Anne's Book Sale
August 22nd 23rd from 7:30am to 2:00pm in conjunction with the Rummage Sale. Please bring your donations of books, paperbacks, tapes CD's to the Board Room beginning this Tuesday-August 5th. There will be a table set up for your donations. Thank you, Barbara Anzivino
Eucharist in the Park - On Campus!
August 17th Worship outdoors!
Just for one Sunday this summer, we'll celebrate our 10am Eucharist outdoors on the grassy area down next to the playground, with a BBQ on the grass and games out on the blacktop parking lot. We can't figure out what to call it, though. Will it be "Eucharist in the Parking Lot"???? Or "Pew with a View"? Whatever we choose-make sure you and your family are there. 8am Worships stays in the Chapel as usual.
Choir on Summer Break

Our choir is enjoying a well-deserved rest during August, and will resume rehearsals on September 4th.

We're Moving...
Email addresses that is!
In order to provide our clergy and staff with a more modern, reliable and cost-effective email service, St Francis is changing email providers. As part of this update our email addresses are all changing.

It's a simple change: instead of ...@stfrancispv.org, all our email addresses now end with @stfrancispalosverdes.org. Mo. Sarah, for example, is now:
sarah.phelps@stfrancispalosverdes.org.

Yes, we know that's longer - so please update your contact lists now, although the old email addresses will continue to work for a while so that we make sure that we don't lose any messages as we swap over.
Questions? Please contact Peter Marshall, or by phone via the church office at 310 375-4617. Thank you.
