Guest Preacher, The Rev. Dr. Rob Voyle
...will preach and lead an adult forum this Sunday, April 6, after each morning service.
Rob Voyle is an Episcopal Priest, executive coach, and a licensed psychologist.
As the founder and Director of the Clergy Leadership Institute (Portland, OR) he works with clergy and congregations to enhance ministry effectiveness, and will facilitate our annual Vestry retreat this weekend, preach for us on Sunday, and lead an adult forum after each service.
Rob is a gifted storyteller and has a penchant for mischievously confronting listeners with new insights that are both affirming and liberating. Be prepared to laugh, look at things from a fresh perspective, and gain new insight about how God is at work in your life and the life of our parish.
Rob is an internationally recognized leader in the use of Appreciative Inquiry in church related settings -- a positive process that identifies what is working well in organizations or communities, analyzes why, and focuses on doing more of it.
In a church setting, Appreciative Inquiry can help us identify what God is doing among us versus what our critical minds tell us "should" be happening. This way we can see how better to partner with God who came in Christ "that we may have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)"
Communal Rite of
Reconciliation

Lenten Quiet Day
Letting it Go, and Letting Yourself Be
Friday, April 11 from 9:30am - 12:00pm
Lenten Quiet Day is a time of reflection and potentially revelation. This is an annual ECW-sponsored event and is open to the whole parish (and friends).

There will be two periods of inspiration, reflection and discussion led by Holly Henebry and Tina van der Velden, and facilitated by Mo. Paula. Quiet Day will take place in the Church Boardroom. It is also BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) if you wish to spend a little more time in peace and fellowship before heading off to your afternoon.

Please RSVP on the Lenten quiet day clip board in the church office or by calling or emailing the office - 310 375-4617.
Women of Wisdom = W.O.W.

Sermon Archive

Need a prayer, or to talk with the clergy?

Contact Mo. Sarah or Mo. Paula
or via the church office on 310-375 4617.

You are not interrupting our work -

you ARE our work!

Or just come to any or all of our services, and take a moment to sit quietly, light a candle in memory, or to symbolize your feeling, and let God be God - in you - for a few small, still moments. With blessings and prayers for comfort and love.
