Thank you!
Thank you to the many people who have contributed time and talent in so many ways. We start months before the show. Many of you work very hard during the show, and some help us with the many details after it's over. Please know that you are appreciated. Thanks, too, to all of you in the parish who supported us by your attendance and contributions of food and money. Without all of you, we could not help these wonderful young people get a college education.

and a special thank you to David Gerhardt for the beautiful slide-show he created.

Lenten Supper Series Starts Next Wednesday

Forgiving & Forgiveness: Psychological and Theological Aspects of Reconciliation

March 12th, 19th, 26th, April 2nd, 9th

Led by The Very Reverend John Crean, Ph.D.

& The Reverend Charleen Crean, LCSW.

This five-session Lenten study series will help you address problems associated with holding on to resentments, injury and guilt. It will suggest some possible scriptural models for forgiveness, and culminate with a liturgy. Together, we will explore the psychological and theological aspects of reconciliation.

For full details of this series click here...

Sign-up now - sign-up sheets in the church office, and after worship on Sundays.

The Parish Reads
Forgiven and Forgiving
by L. William Countryman.
"Only the strong can forgive. God, who is strongest, forgives best."

This book complements our Lenten Supper Series.
Once we truly understand the depths of God's love for us and know deep-down that we are forgiven, we begin to see the world anew through God's eyes. Only when we are able to accept God's forgiveness for ourselves can we offer forgiveness to others.

There will be two periods of inspiration, reflection and discussion led by Holly Henebry and Tina van der Velden, and facilitated by Mo. Paula. Quiet Day will take place in the Church Boardroom. It is also BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) if you wish to spend a little more time in peace and fellowship before heading off to your afternoon.

Need a prayer, or to talk with the clergy?

Contact Mo. Sarah or Mo. Paula
or via the church office on 310-375 4617.

You are not interrupting our work -

you ARE our work!

Or just come to any or all of our services, and take a moment to sit quietly, light a candle in memory, or to symbolize your feeling, and let God be God - in you - for a few small, still moments. With blessings and prayers for comfort and love.
