What's Happening...

This Sunday - Jan 26th - One Service Only
Annual Meeting 11:30am
Please bring a potluck main dish or side to share!
We'll have one service at 10 am, followed by a potluck lunch in the Parish Hall coordinated by our Fellowship Ministry Team. The meeting will include election of new Vestry members, a presentation of the 2014 parish budget, and our annual discussion on "the state of the parish." All who value our life and mission here at St. Francis, please make an effort to be there!

Calling All Acolytes - "Seasoned" and New!!!
Training/refresher session for all current acolytes and for those in our parish who would like to serve as acolytes. Please meet under the arches outside the main church at 08:45AM. As is our custom, doughnuts and juice will be provided! Thank you for your important service to our parish!

Coming Up! 
Taizé Service of Healing and Wholeness
Next Tuesday night, January 28th, 7 pm, (4th Tuesday of the month).
Join us again for our Taizé service of healing. This Taizé service, filled with music and candlelight, also provides the option for intercessory prayer with a Prayer team leader. We pray that the time will be a healing comfort for whatever you face or hold in your heart.
Designs for Dining Mailing
Many hands make light work! We invite you to come and help us mail out the invitations to our Designs for Dining fundraiser It's a fun get-together. When? Friday, Jan. 31 at 9:30 in the boardroom. Come even if you can stay only an hour. Thanks much. Joni McIntyre -- 310-378-1606
Lent Build - Habitat for Humanity
Fri March 21 & Sat March 22-8am-3:30pm
You may sign up for one or both days and/or donate a brick (with your name on it!) to fund the project Each brick will contain the name of a St. Francis donor - $50 per brick. Checks should be made out to "St. Francis Church" (Habitat for Humanity in the memo section). Full details in our upcoming February Bellringer. Sign up-either at the sign-up sheet on the volunteer desk, or contact: Mike Spalding 310-897-3097.
St Teresa's Chinese Auction
It's the Year of the Horse!
Saturday, February 8th - 6 - 8:30pm

Chinese Food, Lion Dancers, and fun and unique treasures. 

Tickets are $10 in advance (available after services or from any St Teresa's member), or $14 at the door. 

Proceeds to benefit Mama Hill's Help, Habitat for Humanity and other Outreach activities.  

Fellowship Walk
Starts February 9th
To begin the New Year, we would like to institute a Fitness and Well Being Ministry.  We will begin on February 9th after the 10:00 Service.  We will start after the Coffee Hour and meet in the hall.  You can change into your walking and exercise attire in the hall restrooms.  We will begin with stretching and light exercise in the hall, and then we will go on a 2-mile walk/jog.  We should finish no later than 12:30.  No experience is needed and for all levels.  Everyone will go at their own pace.  See Richard and Sue Egan or Darryl Tillman if you have any questions.
