What's Happening...

All Saints Day this Sunday
And remember! Clocks go back this weekend.
You get an extra hour in bed before coming to worship, remember and give thanks for the Saints who have gone before us!

Teen groups - note CRASH! will meet as usual 4-6pm on Sunday; there will be a special meeting for eMERGE (High School) at 11:30am in the Youth Corner. See you there...!
Military Outreach: Operation Christmas!
Last day to donate - this Sunday - Nov 3rd. Packing date is Nov 6th.
Christmas is coming, and we still have our troops serving all over the world, away from their families at Christmas. As you shop for your family, please add some items for our troops (see more items on the Military Outreach page).

Boxes cost $14.85 to send (add in the memo line "Military Outreach" & let us know if you have written a check, so we can track it). If you wish to pack with us, please call Susie Zimmerman -310 316-5941, so we will have enough boxes. Children are welcome to pack with a parent. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ! Susie, and Julie.
A message from Mo. Sarah regarding fall
"cottage meetings"

Cottage meetings are small group meetings in informal settings, to talk about our priorities as a parish.

So please sign up now and join the conversation about what we can do as a parish to help this ministry grow. This comes with Love,

Mo. Sarah+

Flourish in Faith
Kindly Respond with Pledge Cards by Sunday, Nov 10th
All active households in our parish should have received a mailing from our "Flourish In Faith" campaign, including an invitation to pledge of our time, talents and treasure to our ministry in 2014. If you have not received it, you may request a copy here .
Our Vestry, Ministry Council and Clergy leaders were challenged to invest in our parish by increasing our financial pledges by at least 10% this year.

Our leaders responded by pledging a collective total of $84,477, or 22% more than 2013. Thank you to these very generous and dedicated parish leaders! If you would join them in this movement of generosity, kindly return your pledge cards to St. Francis by Sunday, November 10. This helps us in our financial planning for the coming year. Thank you very much.

Eternal rest grant to her...
Let us pray for the soul of Sandy Felando, long and faithful St Francis parishioner, who died Tuesday night in the hospital of a cardiac arrest and complications. She is survived by her son, John, who is taking this very hard, and her sister Susie Allen of our parish and family.
The service to celebrate her life is planned for Saturday, November 9, at 11am in our chapel.
Designs for Dining
Annual fundraiser for the St. Francis Outreach Scholarship Fund.
February 28 and March 1
The 2014 designs for dining show will be another beautiful affair with new table designers and exciting creative tables. Would you like to create a table for us this year? Want to know more about the show? Would you like to help support this very worthy outreach program? Are you new to the church and would like to get acquainted and make new friends? There are many small but important jobs where you can help. Come to our planning meeting on Wednesday November 6 at 10am in the Board Room. Questions? Contact Joni McIntyre 310-378-1606, or Cheryl Gutierrez at 310-791-7038

We would love your donated items to offer for sale. Please bring wrapped gifts of $20 and higher value to the parish office, and include a brief description of the item on the bottom of the wrapped gift eg.
