What makes you chuckle?
Do you receive the newspaper? If you do, please look through the comics this week for something humorous to send to our military personnel inside the care packages that will be packed soon. The children in Sunday School will be making greeting cards and tucking in a funny comic brightens the day of the men and women who serve our country. Please bring them before church on October 27th to the classroom on the stage or drop them off in the office this week in Kate Buchen's box. Thanks!

A message from Mo. Sarah regarding fall "cottage meetings"
Cottage meetings are small group meetings in informal settings, to talk about our priorities as a parish.
At this year's meetings, we hope to have a Spirit-filled conversation with you about how best to feed the faith-lives of our young people given all the challenges facing families today.
This is a conversation for you even if you no longer consider yourself young, and even if you never had children.
Why?
Because this is a conversation about our work as a COMMUNITY to pass on the faith that we have received. And it won't happen by osmosis; that's for sure.
So please sign up now and join the conversation about what we can do as a parish to help this ministry grow.
This comes with Love,
Mo. Sarah+

Need a prayer, or to talk with the clergy?
or via the church office on 310-375 4617.
You are not interrupting our work -
you ARE our work!
Or just come to any or all of our services, and take a moment to sit quietly, light a candle in memory, or to symbolize your feeling, and let God be God - in you - for a few small, still moments. With blessings and prayers for comfort and love.
