During July and August, we are taking advantage of our California climate to worship outside at 10am with a shorter and more informal service. Our 8am service continues to be held in the Chapel every week, and we will return to the main church for worship on Labor Day. Remember to dress in layers in case it is cool outside.

Ray Urwin at York Minster
Ray Urwin will be off to play and sing in England's York Minster this week. York Minster is the second largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe and is the seat of the Archbishop of York, the second highest office in the Church of England. Christians have worshiped on the site since the 4th century and probably much earlier, and the minster is built on top of a Roman fort. It has withstood various invasions (including the Vikings), civil wars, fires, etc. Ray will be accompanying for a local choir singing Evensong services in York Minster and Beverley Minster. He has also composed a piece the choir will sing during these services!

Need a prayer, or to talk with the clergy?
or via the church office on 310-375 4617.
You are not interrupting our work -
you ARE our work!
Or just come to any or all of our services, and take a moment to sit quietly, light a candle in memory, or to symbolize your feeling, and let God be God - in you - for a few small, still moments. With blessings and prayers for comfort and love.
