When: 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27
On Wednesday, June 26th the Supreme Court will rule on two marriage equality cases:
- one challenging Prop. 8, the initiative that took away the freedom to marry for gay and lesbian couples in California,
- and another challenging DOMA the Defense of Marriage Act.
On Thursday evening, June 27th, we'll gather together at St. John's Cathedral at 7pm for a liturgy in celebration of the equality we all share before the God who created us all in love, and in commitment to continue the struggle until there are no strangers left at the gate.
Bishop Jon Bruno will celebrate, and Bishop Mary Glasspool will preach.
ALL are welcome!
Please consider carpooling or taking the Metro (Expo Line, 23rd St. Station) as parking will be limited.
CALL FOR CHOIR MEMBERS: We are fielding a volunteer choir - under the direction of St. John's Ned Tipton. To participate, arrive at 6pm- ready to sing - and prepared to rehearse the hymns for congregational singing and learn an easy anthem.
