Today's services mark beginning of Lent
Ash Wednesday, noon and 7 p.m.
Senior Minister Bob Henderson will lead services at noon and 7 p.m. as we journey into Lent, 40 days to remember the death and resurrection of our Lord and reflect on God's unmerited grace.

The Meredith College Chorale (left) will offer special music at the 7 p.m. Sanctuary service, with the prelude beginning at 6:45 p.m. The noon service will be in the Chapel.
 
Tonight's Open Table line-up at Covenant

On the menu is meatloaf, mashed potatoes, veggies, cobbler and ice cream. Dinner is 5 to 6:30 p.m. for $7 (adults) and $5 (kids) with $25 max.

Young Scholars (grades 1-5) will play in the Gym from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. and attend 7 p.m. worship as a class. Parent pickup is in the Sanctuary or Gym lobby. Child care for infants-K is on Ed Wing first floor.

Heath Daniel
Daniel Heath to attend Princeton Theological Seminary

Daniel Heath is again saying 'yes' to God's call in his life, only this call will take him to Princeton, where he will enroll in the Masters of Divinity program. Daniel will leave his position as our director of contemporary worship and arts effective June 4.

Though we will miss Daniel, we are pleased to support him in this decision and trust God will continue to refine his considerable gifts. Click here for the full message from Bob Henderson.

Liz Clasen-Kelly, executive director of the Men's Shelter of Charlotte, will share stories illuminating her nonprofit's work to end homelessness in Charlotte. 

A former Stapleton-Davidson intern, Liz is a familiar face to many at Covenant.

Lenten series on living an authentic life
Five-part class begins Sunday at 10:45 a.m. 
Juliet Kuehnle, a Covenant member and professional counselor, will lead A Lenten Journey: The Dance of Dark and Light.

The class will pull from Everybody's Normal Till You Get to Know Them by John Ortberg, who writes: "Everybody's weird! From a spirituality perspective, our secret doubts about our normality have something important to tell us." Details here.

Being a caregiver to your spouse
New group launches Thursday
Being a caregiver to a spouse can be both rewarding and isolating. Learn helpful ways to take care of yourself. Details here.

When: Thursdays at 11 a.m. for five weeks in the Parlor. Upon request, a member of our volunteer team can sit with your spouse while you attend.

Care for your aging parents - and keep your sanity
Three-part talk begins Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Join us for a Sunday morning series to prepare for challenges such as finances, health decisions, living arrangements and even talking with mom or dad about when it's time to stop driving. Details here.

Gathering for parents of college-age students
Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
