Tonight's Open Table line-up at Covenant
 
On the menu tonight is fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad bar and ice cream. Dinner is 5 to 6:30 p.m. for $7 (adults) and $5 (kids) with a $25 max. Programs at 6:30 include:
  • Telling the Story of Your Life - The Power of Personal Narrative: Closing our series will be an interactive session from the "Book of Questions" offering ways to get to know one another more deeply. Mary Lynne Calhoun will serve as facilitator.. Details here.
  • Purposeful Parenting, Part II, Strengthening Children's Social & Emotional Skills: Develop a deeper understanding of your child's strengths and needs and find practical strategies to enhance both areas. For parents of children ages 4 to 16. Newcomers welcome. Details here.

Find your inner artist at worship arts retreat
Friday evening & Saturday, Feb. 24-25
Join us Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as we work on silk banners and a crown of thorns. Lunch is provided. We welcome youth.

Two services on Ash Wednesday
Wednesday, March 1 at noon and 7 p.m.
The 7 p.m. service will feature the Meredith Chorale from Meredith College (left), a vocal performing ensemble of 30-35 auditioned women, including Maggie James, a Covenant member. 

There is also an Ash Wednesday service at noon in the Chapel.
 
Gathering for parents of college-age students
Sunday, March 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. (note date change)
Parents of college-age students and parents of current high school seniors are invited to a social hosted by Nancy and Alan Atwell. Reconnect and meet people going through this milestone. RSVP here.

Lenten series on living an authentic life
Sundays at 10:45 a.m. beginning March 5
Juliet Kuehnle, a Covenant member and professional counselor, will lead A Lenten Journey: The Dance of Dark and Light, a five-week class on living an authentic life.

Juliet says, "I've had many conversations with people about how our society tends to have an "I'm fine!" culture when, in reality, we all experience normal discomfort, setbacks and struggles. My hope is to help us see the value in being vulnerable and honest. Once we learn how to do this with ourselves and others, we can live more fully."

Care for your aging parents
Sundays beginning March 5
Join us for a Sunday morning series to prepare for challenges such as finances, health decisions, living arrangements and even talking with mom or dad about when it's time to stop driving. Details here.

When: Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for three weeks in FH 205
 
Being a caregiver to your spouse
Thursdays beginning March 2
Being a caregiver to a spouse can be both rewarding and isolating. Learn helpful ways to take care of yourself. Details here.

When: Thursdays at 11 a.m. for five weeks in the Parlor. Upon request, a member of our volunteer team can sit with your spouse while you attend.

The Epiphany School, based on the Covenant campus, is seeking a part-time staff member to provide after-school care. Click here for details.

Covenant Coordinator of the Day (volunteer)
