Discover a new season Sunday
We'll bless school bags in worship
A ministry fair on the Circle will showcase the fall menu of classes, small groups and Bible studies. We'll have bluegrass by Driveline, BBQ boxed lunches and games.
Students of all ages are invited to bring school bags to worship services in the Sanctuary as we pray for God's blessings on all children during the school year.

We're close to our goal for school supplies 
Carla needs supplies for 40-50 more bags
The school supplies drive is in the final stretch. Thanks to all who gave given. We are still collecting for Highland Renaissance, our CMS partner here in Charlotte.

Be a Secret Saint and support a college student
Volunteers send care packages throughout year
More than 120 young people from Covenant are entering college this fall. Our Secret Saints program provides baked treats, handwritten notes and a gift card or two. To become a Secret Saint, email Carla Leaf.

Children's music rehearsals kick off Sept. 11 
New director plans an exciting year
Robert Dicks, Covenant's new assistant director of music, brings a wealth of experience in working with children to share the joy of music. Rehearsals begin the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 11 for the following ages;
- Youth Chorale (grades 6-12)
- Youth Handbells (grades 6-12)
- Choristers (grades 3-5)
- Angelus Choir (grades K-2)

Sing with Covenant Choir this summer 
No commitment; just show up Sunday mornings

Chapel will host midday Taize service 
Wednesday, Aug. 31, noon
Find peace in the midst of your busy day. A half-hour Taize service hosted by Rev. Joan Watson in the Chapel will focus on healing and wholeness. There will also be communion and a dedication of prayer shawls. All are welcome.

Director of middle school youth ministries
Covenant is hiring for a full-time director to oversee education and programming for youth in grades six through eight. The director will work closely with our children and high school ministries and serve with energy, imagination, intelligence and love. Details here.
