Children's music rehearsals kick off Sept. 11   
New director plans an exciting year 
Robert Dicks, Covenant's new assistant director of music, brings a wealth of experience in working with children to share the joy of music. Rehearsals begin the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 11 for the following ages;
  • Youth Chorale (grades 6-12)
  • Youth Handbells (grades 6-12)
  • Choristers (grades 3-5)
  • Angelus Choir (grades K-2)

Covenant delivered 200 book bags to Avery County
Carla Leaf and our Young Adults mission team each delivered car loads of school supplies to our partners at Crossnore Elementary in western N.C. We are still collecting for Highland Renaissance, our CMS partner here in Charlotte.
  • We need pencils, erasers, wide rule composition notebooks, Crayola markers, crayons, safety scissors and glue sticks

Secret Saints keep in touch with our college students
Volunteers send care packages throughout year
More than 120 young people from Covenant are entering college this fall. Our Secret Saints program provides baked treats, handwritten notes and a gift card or two. To become a Secret Saint, email Carla Leaf.

Covenant Preschool has openings in 2-year-old rooms
Class visit days are Sept. 1-2, new year is Sept. 6
Covenant Preschool will kick off the new school year with class visit days Sept. 1 and 2 and a Welcome Back Coffee & Orientation Sept. 14 or 15. Parents are invited to learn about policies, volunteering and faith formation.

Director of middle school youth ministries
Covenant is hiring for a full-time director to oversee education and programming for youth in grades six through eight. The director will work closely with our children and high school ministries and serve with energy, imagination, intelligence and love. Details here.
