Ice cream on The Green - tonight!

Seeking Elder nominee recommendations 
Covenant's Elder Nominating Committee is seeking suggestions for members to serve as Elder or Youth Elder beginning January 2017. The church will elect 10 adults (3-year terms) and 2 youth (1-year terms) who must be a rising sophomore or junior in high school. Recommendations can be submitted online, by postal mail or email to Tommy Lawson or given to any ENC committee member.

 Ringers-On-The-Green perform for CovenantThis Sunday, June 26, 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Led by conductor Matt Webb, this talented handbell choir of 18 advanced high school bell ringers from The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ, is on tour one week each summer for concert and worship service performances. The 2016 tour brings the group to North Carolina from June 23-30. Covenant is delighted to host them this Sunday.

Be a volunteer as Freedom School goes full speed
Through July 27, Highland Renaissance Academy
Freedom School is underway and there are many rewarding ways to get involved with these wonderful children as they learn and grow through their Summer experiences. We need reading buddies, snack makers and more for 60 children in grades K-8. We also need gently used K-8 books. Details here.

 One Service, One Time, One Location
Sunday, July 3, 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Join us for a single church-wide traditional service in the Sanctuary. Sunday school classes will not meet. School-aged children will attend the worship service. Childcare (crib through 5th grade) will be provided on the first floor of the Education Wing from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Communion will be served July 10.

New art, music, dance summer camp with Ms. Holly 
9:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m. in the Rec Wing
Ages 3-6, join Ms. Holly for music-making, crafts, outdoor play and more. Each day your child will sing, dance, and explore different instruments. We will also dig into the crafts with paints, chalk, and different textured mediums. $150 per week. Week 1: Tues-Thurs (July 5-7) Week 2: Mon, Wed, Fri (Aug 1-5). Email Holly to register.
