COVENANT CONNECTION

Wednesday Night Dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Program at 6:30 p.m.

Each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. we gather together as a church body to enjoy dinner and conversation. All are welcome and while reservations are appreciated, they are not necessary. Dinner is followed at 6:30 p.m. by a variety of programs. Tonight we have a special presentation:

Piano vs. Poverty
Carter Cook of Piano vs. Poverty will be the featured guest tonight at Covenant Connection. In a presentation that includes some of the music, stories, and scripture that led him to establish Piano vs. Poverty, he encourages people to combine the principles of Matthew 25 and use their talents to assist those in need. (NOTE: There will be no Covenant Kids this evening)

Next Week: April 15
Children's Musical: 100% Chance of Rain
Our production of Walter Horsley's "100% Chance of Rain" will tell the story of Noah and the flood. Noah will be played by Ben Moore, and his wife by Mary Ellis Stevens. Choristers and Angelus Choirs will be joined by the children's choirs of First Presbyterian Church, led by Kelly Potts. Our production will be directed by Stephen and Susan Talley.

April 15 will be the last Covenant Connection meeting until fall.

TALLEY RECEPTION
To Honor Susan and Steve Talley

Join us in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, April 12 following the 11 a.m. worship services for a
congregation-wide reception to celebrate the ministries of Susan and Steve Talley. A presentation of the total scholarship donations received prior to April 10 will be made to the Talleys at the reception; however, donations to this scholarship fund may be made after such date as well.

Music Scholarship Fund

In honor of the extraordinary skill and faithful spirit Susan and Steve Talley have brought to Covenant's music ministry, the Personnel and Finance Committees have approved the establishment of a scholarship fund in their honor. The Susan F. and Stephen J. Talley Music Scholarship will provide funds for the study of traditional church music through a seminary or college, organ study at an intermediate or higher level, and/or church music conference participation by high school Covenant youth interested in learning more about traditional church music. The Covenant Scholarship Committee will oversee the application and awards process for this scholarship once it is funded.

Contributions to fund the Susan F. and Stephen J. Talley Music Scholarship may be made payable to Covenant Presbyterian Church with Talley Scholarship noted in the memo line.
