Possible Protest to the Valuation of Property

Lancaster County Clerk Dan Nolte is reminding citizens that they have until Monday, June 30th to protest the valuation of their property. Properties that had a change in value were notified in writing by the assessor the first week in June.

Nolte said anyone may file a protest regarding their valuation, not just those with a change. "This is an opportunity for property owners to bring to the County's attention information that could result in a change to their valuation," said Nolte.

Protests may be filed electronically at www.lancaster.ne.gov (keyword: protest), by mail or in person in the County Clerk's Office located at 555 S. 10th Street, Room 108.

Forms can be requested by calling the Clerk's Office at 402-441-8724. Mail must be postmarked no later than Monday, June 30, 2014.

As in previous years, those protesting their valuation may schedule a hearing with a qualified individual to discuss their protest and/or to present additional information relevant to their property's value. These hearings will be held at the Lancaster Event Center from late June

through mid July.

For additional information on the property valuation protest process, please visit www.lancaster.ne.gov or call the County Clerk's Office at 402.441.8724

Toubleshooting Ekey Issues

It is always best to call Supra first if your ekey (phone) or ActiveKey is not working properly.  Supra will log the issue by individual keyholder and keep track of any reoccurrences.  The Supra Support number is 877-699-6787.  For faster service, it is helpful to have your key serial number and PIN handy.  Ekey users may find the serial number under the About menu within the ekey program/app on the phone.  ActiveKey users may find the serial number on the back of the ActiveKey.
