Thank you to Greenleaf Properties for hosting the Commercial Brokers Committee meeting on Wednesday, March 26th at 700 N. Cotner Blvd., Ste. 410. Coby Mach, President and CEO for the Lincoln Independent Business Association (LIBA), was the guest speaker and shared about several issues affecting the business community in Lincoln including a potential sales tax increase and different bills currently being considered in the state legislature.

EDUCATIONAL TRUST FUND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 

 

The Educational Trust Fund was established in 1972 to assist individuals pursuing a college education while intending to enter into a career in a real estate related field of business.

 

The fund is maintained entirely through the voluntary contributions of members.

 

Application Deadline: April 15, 2014

 

Qualifications:

  • Student must be of sophomore, junior, senior or graduate status.
  • Full time status at enrolled institution.
  • Attending an accredited college, university, or community college in Nebraska.
  • Must be interested in a career in real estate or a real estate related field.
  • Applicant must complete the application in full and submit with required attachments to the REALTORS® Association of Lincoln office by April 15, 2014.

MINORITY OUTREACH SCHOLARSHIP

As part of an ongoing commitment to affirmatively recruit individuals from all racial and ethnic groups to the real estate profession, the REALTORS® Association of Lincoln offers minority scholarships. The scholarship program is administered by the REALTORS® Association of Lincoln Housing Advocacy Committee.

Application Deadline: April 15, 2014

 

Qualifications:

  • 19 years of age or older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Resident of REALTORS® Association of Lincoln market area.
  • Minority status: racial, ethnic, or national origin.
  • Willing to enter the first available real estate class.
  • Willing to enter the real estate business with a REALTORS® Association of Lincoln member company within 60 days of receiving license.
  • Willing to complete licensing process within one year of receiving scholarship.
  • Must be able to subsist financially in the business after being licensed.
  • Dependable transportation.
