Latest Data on Retail Sales
NAR's research staff analyzes recent economic indicators so you don't have to. Retail sales squeak out a small gain in December, the slow rate of gain make it difficult to predict the direction of retail vacancy. Employment experienced a nice gain but in danger if sales do not accelerate. This post on the Economists Outlook blog goes over some more highlights and comparisons from previous years.
