Message from Mayor Beutler...
|
Dear REALTORS:
Community involvement is necessary to create successful policies and effective budgets. That's the reason for the City's Taking Charge initiative. For the past five budgets, Lincoln residents have played an integral role in helping City Hall decide how to allocate taxpayers resources.
I want to assure you that this public engagement is making a difference. During previous budget discussions, residents have told us their preferences for their tax dollars. We have listened and each of my budget proposals has reflected the advice you gave us.
The City has now moved to biennial budgeting, passing a budget every other year rather than annually. It is important that we continue the community discussion about our goals and objectives and how we measure progress.
Please take the new community survey available at TAKING CHARGE SURVEY.
It gives you the opportunity to voice your opinions about the future direction of City Hall.
I look forward to hearing what you think.
Sincerely,
Chris Beutler
Mayor of Lincoln
