Important SimaPro Multi-User Session Release Updates  sima

Disconnecting a User Session

Those of us who are SimaPro users who have been managing the multiuser version for many years may be lamenting that there is no longer a clear way to delete or disconnect a user session. Most of the time this isn't necessary, but sometimes a lost connection lets a session hang or a busy user forgets to log out at the end of the day. All is not lost! We can still delete a session as the manager by selecting the session and pressing "Shift-Delete".  Please use this information responsibly!

Remote Desktop Screen Size

If you're using remote desktop to access your SimaPro, either single user or multiuser, you may be finding, like we at EarthShift did, that the screen doesn't fit well on your local monitor. Thanks to our partner Lattice Group, we've found a solution for this. It turns out that the size of the window is actually controlled by the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) application. When you first open RDC try clicking on the "Options" link and you will be given several options with several tabs at the top.

Click on the "Display" tab and you will have an option to choose the "Display Configuration."  The slider tab will allow you to change the size of the RDC window.  You should be able to choose any of the resolutions that are available to your desktop and the "Full screen" will take up the entire screen and use the native display resolution of your computer.  After that click on "Connect" and it will go through the normal logon steps and hopefully be a better size for your local monitor.

If you have other questions about SimaPro, please don't hesitate to contact us.
