Girls on the Run

The Girls on the Run teams from the Academy at C.F. Thomas, North Ridge and Mullendore elementary schools, their running buddies, and coaches recently participated in a 5K race along with hundreds of other Girls on the Run participants from across North Texas.

Girls on the Run is a positive, life-changing program for girls in grades 3-5, meeting twice a week after school with positive, fun lessons and games based on running, as well as a community service portion of the curriculum. The girls complete the season by running a real 5K race, many of them for the very first time.  For information, visit www.gotrdfw.org or email Beth Shier. All you need to start a site is a space to meet and at least two coaches who love the program. Training is available this summer for new coaches.
Don't forget to transfer your teacher website!
You can take your current website with you to your new campus within Birdville ISD for 2015-16.
Simply email Michelle DoPorto (michelle.doporto@birdvilleschools.net) your name, current campus, new campus and date of when you would like your website transferred.

Energy Saving Tips

The typical American household owns about 25 gadgets - TVs, phones, video game consoles, cable boxes, computers, and other consumer electronics - many of which waste energy by continuing to draw power even when they're off, or in stand-by mode. All those gadgets waste several billion dollars worth of electricity each year, nationwide. According to the U.S Department of Energy, 10 percent of your electric bill stems from items that you aren't even using.

Campus Transfer Requests eTransfer Application Instructions

Employees interested in applying for a campus transfer may access the eTransfer application (internal application) from the Birdville website. Please note: The eTransfer postings are generic and not an indication there is a definite opening at each campus. As openings occur, principals will review eTransfer requests and contact staff they wish to consider. eTransfer postings will remain listed on the Job Board through
August 28, 2015.
