Stage West Announces Neighborhood Play Contest Winners
Fort Worth's Stage West Theatre recently announced winners of their Neighborhood Play Contest which included several student playwrights from BISD. The winning plays, selected from more than 450 entries, will be produced in Stage West's Festival of the Kid May 11-13 in their studio theatre.  Congratulations to these BISD students and their winning plays:
 
  • Elizabeth Allison (Richland HS) - "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot"
  • Lauren Murphy (Watauga MS) - "That One Poem"
  • Amanda Roden (Haltom HS) - "Butterfly Effect #2"
  • Leah Singleton (Haltom HS) - "Rewritten"  (Honorable Mention)
  • Cristina Grace Del Cristo (Watauga MS) - "The Voice"  (Honorable Mention)
  • Abby Key (Richland HS) - "Essays"  (Honorable Mention)
