| Eight BISD high school singers advance to final All State round
|
Congratulations to BISD high school singers for placing in the top chairs in their voice part during the third-round auditions for the 2015 Texas All State Choir. These students will compete one final time in January in hopes of being selected as an All State choir member.

| Race for the Cure December 5K

Join Team Birdville for Race for the Cure for December's 5K. Team Birdville for Race for the Cure will participate in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk on Saturday, Dec. 6 downtown Fort Worth. | Girls on the Run 5k teams from BISD
|
BISD had teams from Mullendore, North Ridge, The Academy at West Birdville, and The Academy at C.F. Thomas elementary schools participate in the Girls on the Run fall 5K race in Dallas.
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a positive physical activity-based program for girls in grades 3-5, and has chapters all over the USA. The girls learn life-skills and strategies, make friends, gain confidence through lessons and games, and train for a real 5K race.
The Academy at C.F. Thomas has had a GOTR team for the past nine seasons, they are happy the program has now expanded to three other BISD schools. For many of these girls, coaches, and running buddies, this was their first-time ever to complete this distance in a real race.
