| Five BISD campuses receive Charitable School Award
|
Birdville and Haltom high schools, and North Richland, Richland and Watauga middle schools were the recipient of The Meadows Foundation "Charitable School Award" for the 2014-15 school year. Designated teacher sponsors from each campus will receive $500 to engage their students in leadership roles and volunteer opportunities within their respective communities. The Charitable School Award encourages youth volunteerism by middle and high school students; increases students' knowledge of their community's needs, and develops leadership and volunteer skills among students to meet those needs.
