Five BISD campuses receive Charitable School Award
Birdville and Haltom high schools, and North Richland, Richland and Watauga middle schools were the recipient of The Meadows Foundation "Charitable School Award" for the 2014-15 school year. Designated teacher sponsors from each campus will receive $500 to engage their students in leadership roles and volunteer opportunities within their respective communities.

The Charitable School Award encourages youth volunteerism by middle and high school students; increases students' knowledge of their community's needs, and develops leadership and volunteer skills among students to meet those needs.
