Congratulations to The Pride of Haltom High


Congratulations to The Pride of Haltom High Marching Band for tying for 11th place in the UIL State Marching Contest. They competed against the top 37 bands in the state of Texas. 
North Richland Middle Celebrates Red Ribbon Week
North Richland Middle School recently celebrated Red Ribbon Week. Dress up days were:
  • "Knock the Socks Off Drugs"
  • "Follow Your Dreams, Not Drugs"
  • "We Are Red-y to Be Drug Free"
  • "Slam Dunk, Drugs Are Junk"
  • "Say 'Boo' to Drugs"

BCTAL Students Accepted into Nationwide Film Festivals


"Lydia," a short film written and directed by Logan Evans that premiered at South by Southwest 2014, was accepted into the Future of Cinema Film Festival in Interlochen, MI.  The festival was for student filmmakers and was held Oct. 23-25.
 




"Rabbit People," another short film written and directed by Logan Evans and produced as a class film in the advanced video class at the end of the 2013-2014 school year, was accepted into the "Reel Scary" program at the ITSA Film Festival in Sonora, California, where it will share the bill with student films and work from professional filmmakers. The festival is Nov. 7-9.
