Coming Soon: Birdville Animal Science Instructional Center

The Birdville Animal Science Instructional Center will be a multifunction facility with its main purpose dedicated to enhancing Agricultural Science/FFA instruction by providing a state of the art, secure facility for raising livestock projects. Currently, BISD students who raise animals as part of their Agriculture Science/FFA program are forced to house their animals wherever they can find available space, some as far as Weatherford.

The Animal Science program builds responsibility and leadership skills in students that participate directly in the livestock feeding program. Also, the new facility will benefit students from all grade levels that could use the facility as a field trip/learning laboratory to reinforce biology and life sciences. High school students that participate in the program will receive an advanced science credit required for high school graduation in accordance with the new mandates of
House Bill 5.
