School Psychology Awareness Week

Nov. 11-15
BISD has six Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP), three of which are bilingual. LSSPs provide consultation and assessment services to all BISD campuses. Their responsibilities primarily cover student issues related to special education, emotional disturbance, autism, behavioral consultation, and violence risk assessments. Additionally, they provide professional development leadership for CPI training, Boys Town, and positive behavioral supports. Administrators and special education staff know them best, but at times, they work together with regular education staff for student issues or professional initiatives.

BISD celebrates their LSSPs this week and thanks them for all their work.

The Communications Department publishes the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district. Email your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits.
