Birdville ISD Superintendent Dr. Darrell G. Brown has announced the administrative appointment of Suzy Compton as assistant director of Human Resources. She succeeds David Bach, who retired at the end of December.

Compton is currently program coordinator in the Human Resources department, where she has been since 2000. Prior to the Human Resources department, she was an assistant principal at Smithfield Elementary from 1998-2000, and assistant principal at Richland High School from 1991-98. Compton also taught physical education and health at various campuses in BISD from 1986-91.

She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her master's degree from Texas Woman's University. Compton also holds her mid-management and superintendent certifications.
