Director of Buildings & Grounds Announced

As many of you are aware, at the end of December, Ronnie Caruthers, director of Buildings and Grounds, is retiring after 40 years of exemplary service to the students and staff of Birdville ISD. Though Ronnie has requested that we not have a retirement reception or other event to recognize his departure, I hope you will find an opportunity to express your appreciation to him for all he has done for the district.

Though we are sad to see Ronnie leave, we are pleased to announce that as of January 1, John Hughes will succeed Ronnie as the new director of Building and Grounds. John is a longtime member of the BISD family, having joined the district in 1996 as a construction coordinator. John is currently the assistant director of Building and Grounds. Prior to joining the district, John worked for VLK Architects. He is a licensed Architect and is proud to hold a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Arlington in Architecture. Please take time to congratulate John on his new assignment.
