Phone Messages
As we prepare for the upcoming holiday, please make sure all phone messages reflect current information concerning days off and returning dates for your campus or department. Campus principals need to make sure that the main campus voice mail message reflects pertinent information for your campus.

Important Information from TIMS Technical Services
Please remember to power off all computers, monitors, and printer equipment before you leave for Thanksgiving break. Even though we have a nightly shutdown procedure in place, we want to ensure all electronic equipment is powered off over the next. This also includes any general purpose labs and student machines in classrooms. When you return on Monday, Nov. 28, your computer may be a little slow from being off for several days - please allow it to run a virus scan and install any missing updates. We hope you enjoy your break!

Congratulations ...
Congratulations to Hannah DeArmond, Binion Elementary second-grade teacher, for winning an all-expense paid trip to New York City for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She entered a contest sponsored by the company that owns the Elf on a Shelf products. DeArmond wrote an essay about how she brings the Christmas spirit to her classroom. She wrote about how "Elfis" has come to her classroom the past three years, the second-grade Whobilation, the soldier the grade level adopts and sends a handprint U.S. flag, and the ways she incorporates the diverse holidays near Christmas, such as Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and Los Posadas.
