Secure Network Password Policy

 

In an effort to keep all BISD information and data secure, we are implementing a new district password policy on Monday, November 5, 2012 and all users will be automatically prompted and required to update network passwords.

Do not Open Unexpected Attachments

Viruses are often sent via email attachments. If an attachment has a virus, it typically activates when you double-click or open the file. You should not open an attachment unless you know who it is from.


Beware of Spoof Emails or Phishing  

Phishing emails are an attempt by thieves to lure you into divulging personal information for their profit.

Help Desk personnel and hardware technicians are available to assist employees with computer/network/ printer/projector/TV/software issues.
  • Instructional Technology staff should not be called upon for assistance with technical issues.

Richland HS marching band advances to state marching contest

      

Congratulations to Haltom and Richland high schools' marching bands for outstanding performances at the Area B Marching Contest on Oct. 27 in Plano. Out of 25 competing bands, both bands were selected as top 10 finalists. Congratulations to Richland High School's marching band for qualifying to compete at the State UIL competition Nov. 6 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.  


The Communications Department publishes the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district. E-mail your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits.
