Congratulations to the BISD marching bands who recently competed in the UIL Regional Marching Contest. All three high school bands performed exceptionally well with each receiving a "Superior" rating from all three contest judges. This year, 5A high schools have the opportunity to advance to the State Marching Contest held at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Both Richland and Haltom high schools will perform at the Area level contest Saturday, Oct. 27 at Clark Stadium in Plano. Haltom's preliminary performance is at 10 a.m. and Richland is at 3:30 p.m.
