Forest Fall Fair
September 19-21, 2014

Since 1870, the Forest Fair has celebrated Canada's agricultural and rural skills, activities and way of life. The Fair offers a full weekend of family-friendly events with show and competition opportunities for all ages or just be amazed at the largest or the weirdest-looking vegetables and fruits!

  • ATV Challenge
  • Tractor Tug
  • Parade
  • Demolition Derby
  • Horse Shows - light, heavy and miniature classes
  • Barrel Racing
  • 4H Showcase
  • Show and competition for grains, seeds, vegetables, flowers, culinary arts, homecraft, art, scrapbooking an photography

  • Exhibition Grounds in Forest, Ontario
  • Friday 6-10pm / Saturday 10am-5pm / Sunday 11am-4pm. Refreshment tent open all weekend.
  • Admission: $15 - 3-day pass / $5 - Friday / $6 - Saturday / $7 - Sunday.
Lambton Fall Colour & Craft Festival

This indoor and outdoor festival is held annually the weekend following Canadian Thanksgiving. It attracts over 100 vendors and more than 5000 visitors from Southwestern Ontario and beyond.

 

A wide variety of craftpersons offer their wares including:

  • folk art
  • woodworking
  • fine art
  • photography
  • children and ladies clothing
  • jewelry
  • stained glass
  • pottery
  • food (baked good, sauces & mixes, candy, etc.)
  • knitting and crochet
  • and more

One admission charge of $4 for adults and $1 for children allows access to both craft show venues. Visitors can begin their day at either location, or can split up their show stops over the two days of the event.

 

Be sure to check out the many other events offered in the area including:

  • Fall Fantasia - Thedford's Main Street will offer a Farmers' Market of local bog and orchard produce, with bake, sidewalk, and yard sales
  • Poinsettia Holiday Tour - In the Thedford & Northville area follow the poinsettias to all vendors, including the tearoom operated by the Ausable Port Franks Optimist Club in the community centre.
