3rd Annual Mayor's Breakfast - Feb. 5, 2014
It's an election year!
|Mayor Bill Weber & Deputy-Mayor Elizabeth Davis-Dagg|
Have a fabulous breakfast at Aunt Gussie's Country Dining and find out how our local political representatives plan on working for you this year.
2014 is an election year and we strongly encourage all of our Members to educate themselves on the issues, identify what's most important to the health of your business and get involved in a dialogue with your Ward's councillor.
Ask questions. Share your ideas about making Lambton Shores a great place to live and work and own a business!
Our speakers for this event are Mayor Bill Weber and Deputy-Mayor Elizabeth Davis-Dagg.
John Fraser - MPP Monte McNaughton's Constituency Assistant - will be in attendance for any provincial-level questions.

Member Spotlight - Natalie Core
While not technically the Member of Record for Oakwood Resort, Natalie Core's recent arrival to bump up Oakwood's marketing department is also our Chamber's gain with Natalie's nomination to the Board of Directors.
|Natalie Core - Oakwood Resort |
Natalie has over fifteen years in the marketing industry, with experience in design, production and execution of marketing initiatives. Her past work has involved client-side and agency-side work.
We look forward to having Natalie on the Board of Directors and look forward to utilizing her knowledge and skills in the coming year.
Annual General Meeting - Feb. 26, 2014
Arguably the Most Important Event of the Chamber Year
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the Chamber's business event of the year, at which we:
- elect directors,
- review and approve financial statements,
- present the coming year's budget (2014) and
- provide an annual report of the year's events and activities.
A financial audit is held to confirm the accuracy of the financial statements and to ensure compliance with current corporate legislation.
And the Nominees Are...
The nomination period for new directors is now closed and we are pleased to announce we've received nominations for:
- Sheila Brooks (BMO),
- Natalie Core (Oakwood Resort),
- Doug Pedlar (Re/Max Bluewater Realty), and
- Mike Rahn (No Frills).
The Board of Directors has up to nine directors. The addition of these four nominees and five returning 2013 directors means we have a full Board in 2014!

2014 Visitors Guide
Great news - with some additional phone calls and leg work by Director Neil Clifford, student Tim Dionne and Manager Susan Mills, our advertising sales are up slightly this year by $1,230.
New content for 2014 includes additional festivals and events listings, a walking tour of Forest (tourists LOVE this stuff!) plus more birdwatching details.
With the increase in editorial content, we've moved up from 96-pages to 112-pages.
Online Flipbook Version
Once the guide is finalized, Track21 will send us a PDF version that easily turns into an electronic flipbook. Ads are turned into hyperlinks so that website visitors are only one-click away from advertisers' websites! Print and web exposure for one low price.
