Girl Scout Volunteer On-Boarding/ Renewal Process

As part of our council work to continually improve our process and ensure the safety of all Girl Scouts, we would like to let you know about some changes to our Volunteer process.

Volunteer Application - the Girl Scouts Louisiana East (GSLE)  Volunteer Application has been revised and updated. All current and future volunteers are required to fill out an application annually. This process will help Girl Scouts Louisiana East make sure all volunteer records are accurate.

Background Screening - GSLE has partnered with Asurint to assist with volunteer background screening. All Girl Scout Troop Leaders (01), Assistant Leaders (02), and Troop Cookie Managers are required to complete an annual background check through Asurint.  The cost is less than $10 and is reimbursable by the troop.
