Adventure Girls group being formed at Camp Covington
It's not too late to become a member of Adventure Girls! Girl Scouting has a long-standing history and tradition of introducing girls to the wonders and majesty of nature through day and overnight backpacking and outdoor adventures. Girls learn leadership skills as they plan trips and work together to make their trip a success. They discover their strengths, connect with their team and take action as they learn about preserving our valuable natural resources.
The second meeting for this NEW group is scheduled for Sunday, June 1 from 2-4 p.m. at Camp Covington. Please join the 22 girls who attended the first informational meeting on May 4 as the group continues its plan to find out from the girls how they would like to build this program. Currently open to Juniors who will be bridging to Cadettes in the 2014 Girl Scout year, the program is targeted for Cadette/Senior/Ambassador levels. For additional info, email Laura Rogan at [email protected].
