We're off to Pixar!
In other news: o n August 27 and 28, our mariachi education program gets the spotlight at a Bay Area national policy conference on music and arts education hosted by the White House Initiative for Educational Excellence for Hispanics. It's all happening at Pixar Studios!
I'm looking forward to leading a discussion on culturally relevant music pedagogy with other national experts on mariachi education. In addition, our ¡VivaFest! Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico All-Stars will be performing at the invitation of the White House initiative. We can't wait.
We will report on the conference in our next newsletter, but the good news is it will be available via live-stream, thanks to our great collaboration with CreaTV. We'll have a special announcement about that next week.
