Train Overhaul Project

Pictured is a Windscreen installation in one end of a car. The windscreens will be clear once the protective coating is removed.  There will be a similar windscreen at the other end  of car but it will be shorter on one side to allow passage of a wheelchair.

Pictured is the view of an installed flat screen display at one end of the car. The display will be used for news, advertising and passenger information.
The T-Card

PATCO now has a new Fare Product, the T- CARD, to accommodate our Transit Benefit riders. Customers that already received a TRANServe card can continue to use it. The new T-CARD will work the same as the TRANServe card. We've just changed the name of the card. Any further questions, please call the FREEDOM Card Service Center at 877-373-6777
Air Shaft Vent Rehab Project

PATCO is committed to keeping our customers informed and providing advance notice regarding upcoming projects.

The PATCO Ventilation Rehabilitation Project will begin on or about mid-July of this year and extend until November or December.  Work will begin again in the spring and continue through May, 2014.  Most of the work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 AM until 5 PM.

The project includes replacement and modification of existing air shaft vent grates in the sidewalks and curbs, and restoration of the sidewalk immediately adjacent to the vents in the cities of Philadelphia and Camden.

Customers may encounter closed stairways while construction is taking place.  In addition, areas in the concourse may be barricaded when the contractor is working overhead at street level.
New Elevator Project

The Renew Crew is still hard at work on the new elevator at 9th/10th & Locust. Construction at this site has taken longer than usual due to unexpected complications. The anticipated completion date is August 2013.
Attention PATCO Customers who use SEPTA Transfers

On Monday, July 1, 2013 the cost of a round-trip SEPTA transfer at New Jersey PATCO stations went up 50 cents to $3.10. This transfer still represents a savings of 50 cents compared to the cost of two SEPTA tokens.

The special round-trip PATCO/SEPTA transfer cost increased because of the fare hike implemented by SEPTA. The cost of a round-trip SEPTA transfer at New Jersey PATCO stations had been $2.60 since July of 2010.

PATCO customers may use cash or their FREEDOM card to purchase a SEPTA transfer. The transfer is dispensed as two separate tickets. One is valid for 1 hour from the time of purchase and is to be used on any of the specified lines from a point connecting with PATCO. The second ticket is valid on any of the specified lines to return to PATCO for 24 hours from the time of purchase, except that Saturday, Sunday, or legal holidays shall not be counted.

Please call SEPTA (215-580-7800) with any questions regarding SEPTA fares.
