PATCO Quiet Car here to stay
PATCO Quiet Car Program became permanent on January 2, 2013.
The Quiet Car pilot program launched on March 1 and was originally scheduled to conclude on June 1. Positive customer feedback collected from online surveys encouraged PATCO to extend the pilot and work towards a permanent program.
As of January 2, 2013 the Quiet Car is always the last car on designated trains Monday through Friday rush hours from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Quiet Car passengers are expected to limit cell phone use to silent texting and silent games, to keep conversations brief and whispered and to play music through headphones in a manner that cannot be heard by other passengers.
Passengers will no longer hear announcements but there is signage on each car that displays the rules and hours of availability.

December Toy Drive
The 2012 Holiday Toy Drive for the Boys and Girls club was a great success. Well over 300 toys were collected. PATCO also received some lovely "Thank You" cards from the children at the Boys and Girls club. A few of them were posted in the stations to view. Your kindness was very much appreciated by the children and the staff. |
